In Memory of You....

Over the years, Melissa and I have shared many laughs, many mom nights out, we've watched each others kids, we've shared a lot memories of the years! For the last 3 years, I offered Mommy and Me Sessions in April, Melissa had signed up for a session with the boys and wanted to include her Mom as well. As the date approached her mom fell ill and was hospitalized, I would message Melissa to see how she was and how her mom was doing.  On April 9th of this year my family and I were out in Milwaukee and since Yvonne was hospitalized in Milwaukee we decided to stop in to see her. Little did I know that day Melissa and I would share something else, that afternoon on April 9th Melissa had lost her Mom.  My heart broke for her, Yvonne was her rock, she was the glue that held the family together. My heart just hurt for her, for her sons, for her dad.  I too knew how much she was hurting because on April 9th, 6 years ago I too had lost my mom.  Its a pain and void that never goes away! But the memories is what will carry us through.

This summer we finally were able to do the Mommy and Me Session, Melissa asked me to incorporate her Mom into one of the images. I hope you reflect on these images and remember how much love she had for her family <3
